Permits

The Community Development Department through its Permits & Inspection Division approves all new construction and proposed improvements of existing structures to make sure they provide minimum standards and conform to all applicable City ordinances. Final approval of all plans, permits, and inspections rests with this department, assuring owners of sound construction.

Residents are encouraged to contact the Community Development Department prior to any work being conduct on their lots or homes, to ensure that proper ordinances are followed and any permits that are required are issued. The City form time to time adopts new codes, before submitting plans please confirm which International Code Council year the City is currently operating under.
