With 25 years of dedicated service, Miguel leads the city's day-to-day field operations, from street and park maintenance to water and wastewater systems. He is often on-call during storms or emergencies and is known for stepping in wherever he’s needed to get the job done.

What’s your position with the city, and how long have you been in that role?
I currently serve as the Public Works Superintendent and have been with the city for 25 years.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
A very interesting fact about me is that I have 26 aunts/uncles.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Granting my kids wishes by taking them anywhere they want. In my down time I love working on home projects.
What do you like about working for the City of Spring Valley Village?
The small setting of the city and my co-workers being like my extended family.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working here?
If I did not start working [at Spring Valley Village] at such an early age in my career I would have attended the police academy.
If you could share one thing with the residents of Spring Valley Village, what would it be?
That the residents are my priority and I am always available to address any concerns.
