  • Spring Valley Village to Hold General Election on May 2, 2026

    The City of Spring Valley Village will hold its General Election on Saturday, May 2, 2026. On the ballot will be one Mayor position and two City Member At-Large seats.

    Residents who are interested in serving the community are encouraged to consider running for office. Candidates must meet state and local eligibility requirements related to age, citizenship, voter registration, and residency within the City.

    The candidate filing period opens January 14, 2026 and closes February 13, 2026. Voters will also have opportunities to vote early and by mail before Election Day.

  • Save the Date: Snow Day 2026

    The City of Spring Valley Village invites residents to enjoy its annual Snow Day on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the City Park.

    Snow Day offers a snowy hill for sledding and a dedicated snow play area where children can build snow angels and snowmen, and enjoy the snow.

    This event is geared toward children, with activities best suited for younger participants. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise children throughout the event to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

    The City will provide a limited number of sleds for shared use. Residents are welcome to bring their own sleds to ensure participation.

    Parking will be available in the City Hall parking lot.

    Please note that Snow Day is weather-dependent. In the event of inclement weather or unsafe conditions, the event may be modified, postponed, or canceled. Any changes will be communicated through the City’s official communication channels.

    The City looks forward to welcoming the community for an afternoon of seasonal fun in Spring Valley Village!

  • Upcoming City Hall Closures

    The City of Spring Valley Village would like to inform residents that City Hall offices will be closed in observance of the holiday season on the following dates:

    • Wednesday, December 24 – Christmas Eve

    • Thursday, December 25 – Christmas Day

    • Friday, December 26 – Day After Christmas

    • Thursday, January 1 – New Year’s Day

    Regular business hours will resume following each closure.

    Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and complete any time-sensitive business in advance.

    The City wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
