Center Point Scheduled Reliability Work
Center Point Energy was unable to complete the electrical main repair and scheduled outage on Tuesday, June 29th due to the weather and saturated ground that impeded Center Point's ability to access the power lines. Center Point has rescheduled the work for Tuesday, July 27th, 2021. The work on this day will include a proposed power outage for the area along Merlin Dr. and Raylin Dr., from Pech Rd. to Bingle. The anticipated time of the power outage on July 27, 2021,
is from 8:45 am until 4:45 pm, with a rain date of August 3rd. Center Point plans to send Outage letters 10 days before July 27th. In addition to mailing out letters, Center Point will also go door to door Tuesday, July 20th (weather permitting) to
deliver door hangers to notify residents of the new outage date. The City has advised CenterPoint Energy of the noise restrictions within the City and that this work must comply with the City’s regulations.
